Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 2026-08-19
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of The Flow Brief (theflowbrief.com), operated by Marianne Cottin Arredondo ("we", "us", "our"). By using the site or subscribing, you agree to these terms.
1. Seller
The Flow Brief is a site operated by Marianne Cottin Arredondo, an individual sole proprietor (no incorporated company), based in Chile, trading as "The Flow Brief".
When you create an account you contract with Marianne Cottin Arredondo. Purchases are made through Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as Merchant of Record — see the Subscriptions & payments section.
Contact: hello@theflowbrief.com.
2. Acceptance
Continued use of the service means you accept these terms. If you don't agree, do not use the service.
3. Service description
The Flow Brief publishes articles and interactive self-assessment tools on flow states, attention, productivity, and wellbeing, grounded in the scientific literature.
What the Premium subscription includes: full access to the site's Premium articles and to the Premium results of the interactive tools (extended readings, 7-day plans, and activity-redesign protocols), for as long as the subscription is active.
What it does NOT include: no physical goods, no downloadable software, no one-to-one sessions, clinical consultation, coaching, supervision, or professional support of any kind. We also do not guarantee any specific personal outcome.
4. Account & credentials
You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use the service unlawfully, fraudulently, or abusively. Prohibited activity includes: IP infringement, spam or malware distribution, security interference, unauthorized automated scraping, and reselling content without permission.
6. Intellectual property
All content, software, text, graphics, branding, and documentation are owned by Marianne Cottin Arredondo unless otherwise noted. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your chosen plan.
You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or circumvent technical restrictions of the service.
7. Subscriptions & payments
Plans and prices (in US dollars, USD): monthly USD $6/month; annual USD $48/year.
Founding price: USD $36/year, limited to the first 200 subscribers. If you subscribe at that rate, you keep it at every renewal for as long as your subscription stays active and uninterrupted. If you cancel and return later, the price in effect at that time applies.
Automatic renewal: all subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
How to cancel: from your account, in one click, with no need to email us. Cancellation stops future renewals and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
Paddle.com Market Ltd is the Merchant of Record for all purchases: it processes payments, handles applicable sales tax/VAT, issues receipts, and is the seller of record for the transaction.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
See Paddle's Buyer Terms at https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.
8. Refunds
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. See our Refund Policy for details.
9. User content
If you submit content (comments, tool responses, emails), you grant us a limited license to host and process it solely to provide the service.
10. Service level
We work to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service is provided "as is", without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (loss of profits, data, or goodwill).
Nothing excludes liability for fraud, willful misconduct, death, or personal injury where applicable law does not permit exclusion.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, unlawful use of the service, or breach of these terms.
13. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. On termination, you may request an export of your data within a reasonable window before deletion.
14. Educational content — not professional advice
All content on The Flow Brief — articles, tools, and results — is for general and educational purposes only.
It is not medical, psychological, psychiatric, or clinical advice, nor a diagnosis, nor treatment. The self-assessment tools are not diagnostic instruments.
Using the site does not create a professional, therapeutic, or clinical relationship between you and Marianne Cottin Arredondo, regardless of her professional credentials.
If you are worried about your physical or mental health, consult a qualified professional. In a crisis or emergency, contact the emergency services in your country.
15. Governing law & jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Chile. The competent courts of Chile have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to non-waivable consumer rights under the law of your place of residence.
16. Changes to the terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with a new date. Continued use after publication constitutes acceptance of the changes.
